My journey through 2025 left me with a profound consciousness: this year, 2026, will be all about God, just as the last one was meant to be and it was. But I’ve realized that the phrase “all about God” will only become as real as I allowed God’s workings within me to be genuinely expressed.
When I brooded thoroughly on that concept, I understood something crucial. The measure to which God manifested in my life last year was also hinged on the allowances I gave Him. As much as I deeply believe in God’s perfect timing, I wouldn’t want to deceive myself or hide under that cloak when I know that I have some specks of flaws. I know fully well, that there were specific instances when God wanted to move through me, but I remained still. There were moments when the promptings in my spirit were so heavy, so urgent for me to speak, yet I kept mute. There were clear instructions that required my total obedience, but I either didn’t obey at all or obeyed only partially—which I now see is tantamount to zero obedience.
Wrapping up 2025 was accompanied by mixed feelings. Yet, God’s mercifulness was overwhelmingly displayed in His gift of another new season, another chance for me to try again. While God never failed in the fulfillment of His promises toward me, I had failed several times in keeping mine. However, His grace ensured I kept rising after every failed attempt. His continual, unwavering presence is a constant reminder: if God hasn’t given up on me, who am I to give up on myself?
Even before the new year began, His quiet voice wouldn’t stop reminding me that the extent to which 2026 will be fully about Him is dependent on the closeness of my partnership with Him. When I pause to consider what this “partnership” truly entails, one word remains conspicuously central: Obedience
If God is to move mightily in and through me this year, the world will only witness it as a direct measure of my obedience. The extent of God’s manifestation through my life is determined by my total surrender to His will. It’s a sobering and empowering truth. And when I expand that thought, imagining every Christian deciding to partner very closely with God, my mind shudders at the thought of how powerfully this world could be shaken for Jesus.
This, then, is my heartfelt call to every believer: let us walk more closely and obediently with God. Let it be God who calls the shots, and let us be the ones who faithfully shoot, aiming as high as He wills for us. Let our daily choices; the words we speak, the kindness we show, the temptations we turn from,be our conscious collaboration with the Divine.
2026 is poised to be an amazing year. Yet, it will only be as amazing, as the depth of our obedience to God. This is the core of the partnership: our active, willing, and complete obedience to his will.
